A Shaman's Testimony about Meeting the One True GOD

Through my studies I have heard about testimonies from Shaman in the Mexcian peninsula.  After hearing a short testimony I wanted to look further into ways in which the devil ensnares indigenous peoples.  The devil will always set traps which seem innocuous.  That is how the devil, masquerading as a jungle spirit, fooled Chief Shoefoot into letting demons make a home.

As a young man Chief Shoefoot was trained to be a Yanamamo Shaman or witch doctor. Unknowing, of what he was doing, Shoefoot invited multiple spirits into his "chest."  The lie the devil told him was that this was to equip him to heal and lead his people.

Shoefoot said after he let the spirits in that you feel fear and a sense the utter hoplessness.  This horrible feeling of constant inescapable fear dominated him night and day with no letting up. Many times Shoefoot wanted to die, to escape the mental and spiritual torment.  He was sure that death was far preferable to this unending nightmare which he was helpless to stop.

Then, one day he heard about a neighboring tribe and in that tribe one of the young men training to be a Shaman came into contact with a white man.  This white man was a Christian missionary who came to the jungle to bring the light of the Holy Spirit.  When Shoefoot heard about this white man and that he professed that his GOD was more powerful then all the jungle spirits combined, Shoefoot went to meet with him.

It was then that he discovered the living, breathing,  Holy GOD and this changed his destiny from death into LIFE!

This video is such a HUGE blessing to see  and hear the living power of God compared to the power of the enemy even in our strongholds.   I and Shoefoot ask you to please pray about setting free the rest of the Yanamamo tribe and every other tribe that is in bondage to the devil.

Jewish Atheist meets Face to Face with God

Freedom ministries' Igor Ashkinazi, a Jewish man and former atheist, shares his testimony of a supernatural encounter with God. This is an incredible story of a man who didn't believe in GOD.  He lived his whole life a non-practicing Jew.  He traveled from Russia to America and landed in New Orleans. He built up a very successful career of training young American Jewish gymnasts at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center.

He was doing very well and was well respected till he tried drugs for the 1st time.  6 months later he quit his job moved to Los Angeles because he did not want any of his students to see him in such a bad state of addiction.  It was then. at 3am, sick from doing drugs non-stop for days on end that GOD came knocking on his door.  Never forget the Jews, while they missed the Messiah, are GOD'S chosen people.  Which is why GOD is leading the Apple of HIS eye, to HIS Divine Son JESUS CHRIST.

This story is really a wonderful story...

JESUS CHRIST gives Second Chances

Having no money, no thoughts on a future and all the time in the world I was ripe for the picking when the devil came knocking.  My best friend, after one to many beers on a night that anything seemed possible my best friend suggested that we should rob a bank.  Watching Johny Depp do it in the movies made it seem like a whole lot of free money, good times, and lots of pretty girls.

Well, one thing led to another and one bank became five banks.   What they say is true, the first one is the hardest, the second one is easier, and the third one is a breeze or so it seemed.  I knew it was wrong, but I was young and we did get away with it, well, almost.  I couldn't stop the easy money and party lifestyle that large sums of unearned money brought me. There was no way my friend and I were ever going to stop, how could we?  When you are making 100 thousand dollars or more for 15 minutes worth of work it's real hard to give it all up to go and work at Walmart.

Thankfully, the Lord was merciful, no one got hurt, I didn't have to shot some heroic guard and the FBI most certainly caught up with us.  I knew it was over when the FBI tackled me inside the lobby of a DoubleTree Hotel in Omaha. A year later, I stood with shaky legs and a trembling spirit before a federal judge, who sentenced me to more than 12 years in federal prison. I was 23.

This may surprise you, but prison is not a place for personal growth. But there were small graces. To escape the men around me, I took a job in the prison law library. When I wasn't shelving books, I began learning the law. What I found was that I really enjoyed the process of solving legal puzzles for my friends, and so over the years, I took on fellow prisoners' cases, writing petitions they would then file in federal courts across the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

The odds of the Court hearing a case brought by a prisoner is less than 1 percent of 1 percent. And yet, the Court granted two petitions I had prepared for my friends. Fellow prisoners began calling me a "jailhouse lawyer."

Then another grace: Annie, my secret crush all through high school, began sending letters to me, and through hundreds of letters, phone calls, and visits, we became close friends.

I think many parents would have forsaken someone like me. But mine continued to pray for me. And my mom continued to send me Christian books, even after I told her to stop. I'd read those books and then wonder if God had forgotten about me. I wasn't quite ready for God, but I also couldn't rationalize the transformation I'd seen in the lives of my fellow prisoners.

Many mornings I'd walk over to visit my next cell-door neighbor, Robert, who was serving a 20-year sentence for a nonviolent drug offense. We'd chat over a cup of instant coffee, which always seemed to have the consistency of sawdust and water. Robert would grumble about missing out on the lives of his children and how hard it was on his wife who was trying to hold the family together through two decades without him. Worst of all, he ranted about one of his friends who had turned against him and testified for the government at his trial. He said he wished that guy would die. It was clear to me that the bitterness of life and prison had consumed him.

One day I walked over to Robert's cell and watched as he smiled and danced around while sweeping the floor. My first thought was that he had scored some drugs. But when I asked why he seemed so different, I was unprepared for his response. "Shon, I'm with Jesus now," he said. Within days Robert had forgiven the man who had testified against him. Today Robert is back on his farm with his family, and once a week he treks back into prison to lead a men's Bible study.

Robert was neither the first nor the last prisoner I saw experience a complete and utter life turnaround. These inmates had a great effect on me because I saw how grace can transform everyone, even prisoners—perhaps especially prisoners.

I was finding it harder and harder to rationalize myself away from God.

I was released from prison in April of 2009, during the heart of the recession, when no one, let alone a former inmate, could find work. But within months, another grace arrived: I found a position at a leading printer of Supreme Court briefs in Omaha, helping attorneys perfect their briefs.
When Annie and I got engaged, we decided that we wanted my friend, pastor Marty Barnhart, to officiate the ceremony. God bless him, Marty wouldn't agree to do so until we had gone through his premarital counseling.

Our first counseling session was, in a word, memorable. Instead of discussing marriage, Marty asked what we believed about Jesus. When he talked about grace, that free gift of salvation, I listened, especially when he said that I could be forgiven. "Yeah, even you, Shon," he said.

The next day I couldn't escape the feeling that God had been pursuing me for a long time and that if I'd just abandon my stubbornness and selfishness, and hand everything over to him, I would find redemption.
What does it mean to be redeemed? And how do you redeem yourself after robbing five banks?
The answer is, you don't. The answer is that you need some help.

In Ephesians 1:7–8, Paul writes that in Christ "we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us." To put it differently, because of our sins, none of us—and surely no former prisoner like me—can be redeemed on our own. We need the gospel of grace, which says that each of us matters and has worth because we're made in the image of God. Grace says we are not defined by our failures and our faults, but by a love without merit or condition.
God's grace was enough to redeem me.

Nearly five years have passed since I made the most important decision of my life: to surrender to this grace. Annie and I got married, and she too became a believer. We were baptized together at Christ Community Church in Omaha. We had a son whom we named Mark, after my father, a man of faith who passed away after a long battle with cancer while I was still incarcerated. And a few years later we had a baby girl, whom we named Grace.

We moved from Nebraska to Seattle so I could attend the University of Washington Law School on a full-ride scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. During this time, I've volunteered and served toward a goal of ending mass incarceration in the United States. I'm motivated by the belief that prisoners are not beyond the grasp of God's redemption. And we've been nourished by our church, Mars Hill in Seattle, where we have met Christians who live out their beliefs with grace and compassion.

After I graduate this spring, we will move to Washington, D.C., and I will begin clerking for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

To say we have been blessed doesn't begin to cover it.  Through it all, from the amazing to the mundane, God loved us. Through it all, God has given us a purpose. For me that purpose revolves around repentance, loving my wife and children, sharing the grace I've been given, and using my legal knowledge to assist those who cannot afford a decent attorney.
Looking back over the course of my life, I can see that although I rarely returned the favor, God hotly pursued me.

Graces of Medjugorje

Struck by the Holy Spirit!

Battistina is definitely an Italian woman of our time. She is a 47-year old internet-based accountant. When her partner invited her to go to Medjugorje, she was not very interested. Then, one morning, on her car radio, she heard the song, often played by Radio Maria that had irritated her so much for years when she was looking for a program. Unexpectedly that song moved her deeply; her tears flowed continuously, without any apparent reason. She understood that the Blessed Mother was calling her. But I will let her tell her own story ...

"Since a pilgrimage to Medjugorje in July 2012, everything has changed in my life, nothing is like before! My conversion happened during the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. There were thousands of us outside around the Rotunda. Suddenly I found myself on my knees and I had the feeling that I was holding my living heart in my hands. I saw my entire life scroll down before my eyes. I clearly saw the good and the bad, and everything that seemed good at the time was becoming bad. I started to feel a great pain about my divorce.
How could I have broken a promise made in front of God? These words echoed in my mind, 'let no one split apart what God has joined together'. I then understood that my serenity was only in my mind because my heart was ice-cold. I had always felt I was on the side of the "righteous" and that I was a victim.

Suddenly I saw how hard my heart was, I saw the suffering of my 4 children, what my father and my in-laws had endured, and I especially saw that I was not at all a victim.  Actually I had never forgiven anyone. When my oldest daughter, 9 year-old and in 4th grade, had insisted on doing her first Holy Communion, I had told her it made no sense; and my last child had not even been baptized! I saw all the New Age books that I had bought over the past 20 years. How could I have spent all that time reading and taking courses on self-development, things that only ended up pushing me away from God and my family?

The pain was getting stronger and stronger and little by little I found myself with my face to the ground.  I told myself, 'Lord, let me die here, because I am not worthy of even lifting my head from the ground'. At that moment I felt something like a huge hug filled with love, and a joy that is not of this world. And I told myself, 'During 18 years I thought I had given my children everything, but actually I had not given them anything because I had not given them this. So if I stay here to pray for them for the rest of my life, would that not be better than anything that I could do if I went back home? If I, as a mother, the soul of the household, had cultivated prayer instead of cultivating useless things, my children would still have a united family today!'
I understood that when you make the decision to shrug off the cross of marriage, you are actually putting it on your children's shoulders.

Then I felt that I had to keep the promise of faithfulness in marriage, so I decided to make a vow of chastity. I offered this to God so that a thousand families would not separate. My life partner felt the same way. He also told me that we should consecrate ourselves completely. Some priests told me that the vow of chastity was not necessary, others that it was just something we had made up, but I was quite certain and determined because it seemed so little in comparison with the infinite mercy that I had received.
My children thought I had become crazy because I was going to church and hung up a crucifix in the living-room. My eldest daughter was very irritated by my enthusiasm, and she told me, 'So what about all the things you've been telling us for the past 18 years?' 'I am sorry,' I told her. 'I was mistaken!'
In November I went back to Medjugorje with my 4 children so that they too would have an understanding and wisdom. I was very hopeful that they would meet the Lord. I was watching them from a distance, and waiting I thought, 'But if I, their mother, with the little love I am capable of, am so happy to see my children pray, how much happier must our Heavenly Mother be? And how unhappy will she be for her children who get lost!
During the pilgrimage all of my children's hearts were touched. We started studying the Catechism together. Nine months later, the youngest, 10 years old, was baptized, and all my children received Holy Communion during the same celebration. This was the most beautiful day of my life! It was as if I could see them all being reborn at the same time. My partner and I stayed together for a year, living like brother and sister. But every day I was asking God to be able to understand what His will was, whether we should stay close to support one another, or be separated completely. I kept that doubt in my heart for a long time but little by little the Lord led our paths to grow apart because of work.

After my conversion, I contacted my ex-husband again. For nine years every telephone call had ended with yelling on both sides; so for a year we did not talk to each other, and he would communicate with me through the children. When I recognized my mistakes,I looked at his faults as the consequences of my own, and then my resentment disappeared. I was the one who should ask for forgiveness!

Little by little I started to feel the deep bond of marriage, sealed by God, and to feel once again a spouse. Yet I did not understand it. I asked a priest if it was all right to feel that I was a spouse, even though my husband was bonded to another person and had a son. The priest answered that the sacrament of marriage was indissoluble before God.
Now the love that I thought had been cancelled or even had never existed, I found it once again intact in the depths of my heart. I keep it in its purity and I pray every day for the conversion of my ex-husband and for all the families. I thank Jesus and Mary for the infinite grace that my family receives every day and I continue onward on this path of conversion."

Holy Fire Lit in Jerusalem, to be Delivered Worldwide

Thousands of Christians have gathered in Jerusalem to light torches and candles from a holy flame that ‘miraculously’ emerged from the tomb of Jesus in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on the eve of Orthodox Easter. The Holy Fire ignites, apparently of its own accord, from the tomb of Jesus Christ at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.

It has been descending on the church for more than 1,500 years.  It is believed that the year in which it doesn’t light will be the last year in the history of man. The Holy fire descends on Jerusalem during a prayer by the Patriarch of Jerusalem and All Palestine, who then passes the flame to pilgrims.

The pilgrims light 33 candles –that have all been tied together – from the fire to symbolize every year of Christ’s life.  The Holy fire doesn’t burn during the first moments after its appearance, pilgrims wash their faces and heads in it, apparently suffering no injury. A delegation from the St. Andrews foundation will be taking the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Moscow and dozens of Russian cities – from Sevastopol to Yakutsk, in addition to other Orthodox churches abroad, including Rome and Tallinn.

The Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Our Lord JESUS CHRIST --Part 1

Our Lord JESUS CHRIST had just worked what is probably the most famous of his miracles, the feeding of the five thousand. The next day, in the synagogue at Capernaum on the shore of the sea of Galilee, Our Lord made a speech which should be read and reread. Here we quote a few phrases: "I am the Bread of Life"; "I am the Living Bread, which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give, is my flesh for the life of the world"; "He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, abides in me, and I in him"; "He that eats me shall live by me."

He saw that many of his own disciples were horrified at what he was saying. He went on: "It is the spirit that quickens: the flesh profits nothing." We know what he meant: in saying they must eat his flesh, he did not mean dead flesh but his body with the life in it, with the living soul in it. In some way he himself, living, was to be the food of their soul's life. Needless to say, all this meant nothing whatever to those who heard it first. For many, it was the end of discipleship. They simply left him, probably thinking that for a man to talk of giving them his flesh to eat was mere insanity. When he asked the Apostles if they would go too, Peter gave him one of the most moving answers in all man's history: "Lord, to whom shall we go?"

How can we know that the Eucharist is really and truly the flesh and blood of Our Savior JESUS CHRIST? After all this is our eternal salvation we are speaking about.  I don't know about you but I don't want to die and end up standing before GOD unprepared. After all  Philippians 2:12 says...So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling..."
The Priest says a few words and suddenly the little piece of bread goes from being just a piece of bread to the real flesh and blood of JESUS CHRIST the Only Begotten Son of GOD. How is that possible? Corinthians 1:27 GOD has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,

Ok, so Our Father who Art in Heaven hides the really profound things in common everyday packages.  But, that still doesn't explain how a piece of bread becomes the flesh and blood of GOD.

Lets look  at what JESUS said....

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” They said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me— not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” John 6:35-51
Ok, for most people the simply fact that JESUS CHRIST said it means it MUST be true.  You say you need more proof?  Then listen to the words of one of his Saints...

"I have experienced the sweetness of the Heart of Jesus by receiving

Communion of the Body of Christ. Since, I know the importance of Holy Mass, I participate in it every day and I have great respect for the holy priests of God to whom this greatest power has been given; the sacrament of the Eucharist  Their hands are purified by the Holy Light of God even before transubstantiation occurs.

Jesus, the Son of God, is really present in the Sacred Host, and it is only in Heaven that we will understand this unmatchable miracle. The Eucharist is the fastest way to receive to Jesus... No one in Heaven is as close to Jesus as we are, when we receive Him in the Eucharist. Brothers and sisters, we have Heaven before us, all of Heaven is contained in that small piece of Bread. Whoever nourishes oneself with the Body and Blood of Christ, is fed with the fullness of the Supreme GOD and becomes a true child of GOD. The beauty of such a soul makes the angels of Heaven marvel at GOD's immense gift to all humanity..."

The soul that receives Jesus in the Eucharist radiates GOD'S Love and His Holy Light. The Eucharist is Supreme Magnificence, Grace of graces, Gift of the gifts of Heaven. We can also contemplate this explanatory word of the Curate of Ars who tells us:
"The soul that receives communion regularly with the Body of Christ, upon its entry into Heaven, God the Father cannot refuse to greet it because He sees in it the Face of His Son JESUS CHRIST."

In the Eucharist, all souls who participate belong to Jesus and will remain safely so.  Jesus offers Himself to the world He gives Himself fully so that we can receive Him fully.   By receiving the Eucharist in oneself, we receive the Savior of the World, the Son of God who died and was resurrected.  Saint Francis of Assisi said..."Keep for yourself nothing of yourself, so that you can receive in His entirety The One who gave Himself to you entirely Let us often desire to have Jesus; the Eucharist is a marvelous gift of Heaven, Jesus is the food for our soul."

St. Francis of Assisi's meeting with Sultan Al-Kamil in 1219

St. Francis of Assisi because of his world renowned celebrated Holiness was asked by the great Muslim leader, Sultan Al-Kamil in 1219, for an audience.  This meeting occurred sometime during the Fifth Crusade.

Sultan Al-Kamil, having some familiarity with the old testament, due to his dealings with Jewish traders, wanted to test the wisdom of St. Francis.  The Muslim warlord confronted St. Francis of Assisi with passages from the Sermon on the Mount, words spoken by our Savior JESUS CHRIST, recorded in the Gospel of St. Matthew.  The passage says:

"Verily,  I say to you not to resist evil with evil. If one strikes thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the left cheek. And if a man will contend with thee in judgment, for thy coat, give him your shirt also." (Matthew 5: 39-40.)
The Warlord asked Francis why, in the light of this teaching of Jesus, should Crusaders be invading the lands of the Muslims? Since the passage teaches “turning the other cheek” and repaying evil with good, the sultan was contending that there was no justification for the Crusader invasions, even though he knew that the Muslims had taken the land by force from the Christians centuries earlier.

Once again the response of Francis surprised Sultan al-Kamil. St Francis pointed out that the sultan had not completely studied the Gospel, and pointed out to the king the words Jesus had spoken earlier in the same discourse:

"And if thy right eye scandalize thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee. For it is expedient for thee that one of thy members should perish, rather than that thy whole body be cast into hell. And if thy right hand scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is expedient for thee that one of thy members should perish, rather than that thy whole body be cast into hell." (Matthew 5: 29-30.)
Francis then proceeded to impart a distinctive interpretation to these lines, by referring them to those who attempt to turn Christians away from their faith and love of God. The sultan was as dear to him as his own eye, he admitted to the potentate.
ANYONE that pulls us away from our Faith in JESUS CHRIST, must at all costs, whether they be family, friends, co-worker, boss, job, government, etc. must be removed, over come, expelled, defeated, or even annihilated... so that our faith, our salvation is secure.

In response to the Muslim Warlord, St. Francis of Assisi said “ . . . it is not only just but a Divine blessing that Christians invade the land you inhabit.”
After all, your Muslim warriors seek to deny salvation to all those whom they spread the lie of islam too.  Not only that but you and your muslim warriors blaspheme the only name under Heaven which has the power to save men's souls.
Now, IF,  the sultan and his people were to seek the wisdom of the HOLY SPIRIT and in doing, come to recognize, confess, and adore the Divine Son of Almighty GOD, the Creator and Redeemer of all mankind then the Crusades would be in error.

Our invasion of your lands in the name of JESUS CHRIST and HIS Holy Church, is a testament to GOD'S love for his lost children.   No one is outside of the saving grace of our Lord JESUS CHRIST.  We come not to conquer but to see that you and your people are set free from the lie of islam.

Jesus Rescued Christina From the pit of Hell

Christina Maxwell died in the hospital as far away from GOD as a person can be.  She died and went down into the pit of hell where human beings are drowning in lakes of boiling hot lava.  In Hell Christina was overwhelmed by the horror and the suffering she saw all around her.  She begged GOD to do something but this only made the demons laugh at her.  Finally in a desperation attempt she cried out to the only name under Heaven and earth that can save men from eternal hell fire...That being the name of the Divine Son of Almighty GOD...JESUS CHRIST.

When Christina called upon the name of JESUS CHRIST the demons quaked in fear.  Only by the Divine mercy of the Lord was Christina given a 2nd chance.  The one single thing that Christina took away from this terrifying experience was that the ONLY way to Heaven is through the shed blood of our Savior JESUS CHRIST.  Christina learned that there are NOT multiple ways to heaven, there are NOT many paths to salvation.  There is only one path, only one way, only one name under Heaven which can save men's is known to those who wish to one day see our Father who art in Heaven...
